Prince Philip Court

Strawberry Fayre a Success!

Despite the heavy winds that knocked over one gazebo and smashed another before the fayre was even open, the day successfully raised almost £1100 for the Friends of Lord Harris Court. This will spent on providing entertainment and additional facilities for the residents of Lord Harris Court.

The fayre was opened this year by Very Illustrious Brother David Jarvis Inspector General of The Ancient and Accepted Rite (Rose Croix). This was a case of third time lucky as he had been invited to open the previous two that were cancelled due to Covid.

The sun shined bright as the vistors flocked to try their hands at the stalls, eat and drink, and even handle some of the reptiles brought along by Berkshire Reptile Encounters.

Among the other entertainments we heard a number of songs from Matthew Quilliam on his ukulele

We also saw the very welcome return of the Ellington Morris Dancers led by Bro. Bob Spooner.
